ADMINISTRATION AND PREPARATION FOR YOUR KOKODA TREK

Administratively, we understand that our clients are very busy and therefore we take care of everything that we can to assist you in the lead up to your adventure.

Firstly, following receipt of your deposit, you receive a comprehensive pre-trek package, followed by weekly email administrative newsletters leading up to your trek. The pre-trek package clearly outlines the itinerary of the adventure, physical preparation plans, nutrition guides, medical concerns, equipment and packing lists, and contact details.

The newsletters provide you with detailed advice on the three things that we cannot do for you: anti-malarials, vaccinations and visa applications, although we talk you through each of these.

On completion of the trek we provide you with advice in relation to recovery, stretching and ongoing fitness.

As part of the evaluation process we seek and value feedback on your adventure experience. Your informative feedback ensures we can continuously improve the program.

INSURANCES

EE has full Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Aircraft Charterer's Liability Insurance. Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a division of Liberty Mutual Group, is EE's insurance provider. LIU is one of the most dynamic and responsive insurers across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. LIU was formed in 1999 as a global specialty lines company with an emphasis on niche insurance products distributed through the independent broker network. Liberty Mutual Group is a diversified international group of insurance companies with 900 offices throughout the world.

EE purchases a travel insurance policy for each of our trekkers which is included in the price of trekking.

MAKING THE MOST OF THE PROGRAMS

Undertaking an EE challenge is an opportunity to impact every area of your life: obviously you will enhance your physical wellbeing, but it is also an opportunity to reach other goals and to enhance other areas of your life.

Each of our programs can be adapted for executive teams and can form part of a broader team development strategy. As part of a corporate program, executives can enhance their own individual performance and the team as a whole can develop and strengthen relationships and work towards corporate goals.

EE KIDS OF KOKODA SOCIETY

EE has strong ties to the local communities on the Kokoda Track. During each trek, we distribute a range of medical, educational and clothing supplies to the villages.

This is funded by our previous trekkers of Kokoda with money raised at our annual reunion lunch each year. Patron of the EE Kids of Kokoda Society is former Australian Rugby Union player and commentator Chris ‘Buddha’ Handy, who trekked the track with EE in 2002.

Each person who treks Kokoda with EE receives a Kids of Kokoda Society card as a “Badge of Office” following their trek.
